I warmly welcome you on behalf of the whole church family at St John’s.

We do not know what your expectations of a church might be but we do believe that everyone matters to God and we try to reflect this in our activities. There is something for everyone whatever their age.

There is a family atmosphere at St Johns – young and old, married and singles, newcomers and old friends. So we welcome new faces, and hope that you will quickly feel part of us and able to join in at your own pace with any of the activities, on Sundays and during the week. Do come along to one of our Sunday services, 10am or 6.30pm.

People join us at all stages. Many have basic questions about belief. Others come as beginners or Christians of long standing. It doesn’t matter what your starting point is – we try to help everyone find out more about following Jesus Christ.

As a church our aim is to make Jesus Christ known today. We do this by regular Bible teaching which is conscious of the realities and challenges of our world. As a church we belong to the North West Partnership, a network of Bible-believing churches from different denominations in the region.

My wife, Dede, and I live in the vicarage next door to the church, and we have two children in their late 20’s. We are glad that you are interested in St. Johns and look forward to meeting you.

I am available in the church office, at the front of the Church Rooms from 7 -7.30pm on Tuesdays during term time for enquiries about weddings, baptisms etc. No appointment is required.
