Dear Visitor

I warmly welcome you on behalf of the whole church family at St John's. We do not know what your expectations of a church might be but we do believe that everyone matters to God and we try to reflect this in our activities. There is something for everyone whatever their age.

St John's Holiday Club 2010

'Super Sleuths'

'Super Sleuths'Plans for this years holiday club are well underway! As last year it is the week BEFORE the August Bank holiday.

Tuesday 24th to Friday 27th August

We are recruiting eager young detectives (anyone currently in primary school) to embark on a major investigation, We'll leave no stone unturned as we examine the evidence for the mysterious case of the empty tomb! All in all, a chance to discover why Jesus is such good news! There'll be lots of fun, games and crafts, with a full range of afternoon activities including an outing.

Once again the week will be led by Mark Tomlinson, from Cheadle and a regular visitor to our local schools.

If you, or someone you know is interested, booking forms are now available in the porch or the parish office. Numbers are limited and places will be available on a first come, first served basis so please book early!

If you are able to help, please sign up for various jobs on the board at the back of church to suit whatever time you have available.

True Spirituality

True spirituality is the work of the Spirit of truth - the Holy Spirit. But many in our society seek an experience of spirituality without the Christian Gospel - their experience may well be 'spiritual' but it's not true!

What We Believe

  • We believe that a Christian is someone who recognises Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour and who seeks to follow Jesus in daily life.
  • Our church aims above all else to help people find out about Jesus Christ and then grow in their Christian faith and so all our activities are designed to serve these purposes.
  • We believe that the Bible is God's reliable word for today, and through it we can know God and how he wants us to live.
  • We want to share the importance of our faith with others by the way we live our day to day lives and our involvement in the community
