We don’t know what your expectations of a church might be but we do believe that everyone matters to God and we try to reflect this in our activities. There is something for everyone whatever their age.

There is a family atmosphere at St John’s – young and old, married and singles, newcomers and old friends. So we welcome new faces, and hope that you will quickly feel part of us and able to join in at your own pace with any of the activities, on Sundays and during the week.

COVID-19 Update

In line with guidance from the Government and the Church of England, we are not holding Sunday services or mid-week meetings at St John’s at the moment.

However, recognising the importance of meeting together, we intend to do our best to meet together via  videoconferencing.  We want to make continued participation – even in this less personal way – a priority, just as we would if we were meeting live.  We need one another, and the nourishing food of the Word of God.

We’re meeting ‘on line’ as church on Sunday mornings and we hope everyone will be able to join us wherever you are! At 10am (or a little before) you will need to click on this link https://zoom.us/j/152030147
We’re hoping to have all the components of a normal Sunday morning – songs, all age section, prayers, and teaching from God’s Word

Midweek groups:

Most of our Short Courses will continue on-line. If you have signed up for one of those the course leader will be in contact with you about the details.

We are encouraging our homegroups to continue to meet, at what is a stressful time for many via video conferencing technology (e.g. a free Zoom account (limited to 40 mins), Skype or Facetime), with the usual format of Bible study and prayer. Your group leader will be in contact with you.

Our wider community:

We have distributed postcards to every home in our parish, offering help to those who are self isolating or are affected in any other way. If you are able to join the team of volunteers please get in touch.
