As I write the pandemic is exploding. Schools are shutting. Many businesses are at risk. Things we took for granted...
Welcome to Christmas at St John’s
Christmas is still the same – even if the way we will be celebrating it this year will be a little different!
Below you will find details of something new for this year – a Nativity Story trail, where each ‘Christmas bubble’ will visit a series of locations around the church premises to meet Mary & Joseph, the shepherds, the wise men and to see the star! It will be great fun for children & grown-ups of all ages! You must please book your time slot for when you will arrive (see ‘Upcoming events’ below).
We are also hosting ‘Family Carols’, suitable for all ages, repeated several times on Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, in order to accommodate everyone wanting to come in a Covid-secure manner. Again you will need to book in beforehand please (see ‘Upcoming Events’ below). For those who are self -isolating the service at 9.30am on Christmas Day can also be accessed via Zoom (https://zoom.us/j/152030147)
There are also some services for which booking is not required – a Nativity presentation, midnight communion and 8am communion on Christmas Day – full details below.
For all our services we will be making all necessary Covid precautions.
We look forward to welcoming you to St Johns to celebrate the good news of Christmas in these uncertain times.
We don’t know what your expectations of a church might be but we do believe that everyone matters to God and we try to reflect this in our activities. There is something for everyone whatever their age.
There is a family atmosphere at St John’s – young and old, married and singles, newcomers and old friends. So we welcome new faces, and hope that you will quickly feel part of us and able to join in at your own pace with any of the activities, on Sundays and during the week. Do come along to one of our Sunday services, 10am or 6.30pm.
Word for the Day
During these uncertain times, Simon is posting a short and encouraging Word for the Day video on the St John’s Lindow Facebook page every weekday at 10am. To keep up to date with these videos, you can Like or Follow us on Facebook.
If you’re looking for a church or want to find out more about Christianity, we’d love to meet you.
Please feel free to send us a message or come along to a service. We meet on Sundays at 10am and 6.30pm, and our meetings are relaxed and friendly. There’s always a warm welcome and a good cup of coffee to hand. If you want to know more, please get in touch.
